I went to visit Benjamin this afternoon and as I came in his room they were getting ready to put him on his tummy. What a rigamaroll! It takes 2 RTs & 1 nurse just to move him. They also changed all the sheets on his bed. They were very dirty! He is slowly taking little steps forward. They are trying to turn down his pressures on the vent by 1 every day. He is weaned off the precedex now and on another sedation drug. And he is off the lasix infusion and on another diurectic. His skin is very dry so I put some lotion on it. Also, when I went to say goodbye to him today, he scrunched up his face and started crying:( I can't hear it because of the ventilator tube but I could definitely tell he was crying. I'm hoping it's because I told him that I had to go and not because he's in pain. We're cautiously optimistic since he's making baby steps forward but pray that he won't get another infection.

Today marks a month since he got flown out to Children's from ARH. Wow! Time has flown by in some ways but in other ways it's been a long month. Just thinking about it brings a myriad of emotions. Tonight when we were praying with Kyle & Devon, we both looked at each other and pulled a sad face. We really notice it that Benjamin isn't here at home especially now that our other 2 boys are home. It's really quiet in our home without him. We miss you Benjamin!! Get better soon!!
