Since Gary worked the first couple days one of our nurses was willing to come up to Cultus to help me out which was great. Then Gary came up at night and was off Wednesday to Saturday.
We spent a lot of time walking around the complex & to Maple Bay. One day we walked to Lindell Beach Store to buy some ice cream but they weren’t open so Gary walked back to grab the van and met us in the Maple Bay parking lot. Then we drove to Coneheads and had some ice cream there. Kyle was so excited but he was done after a few bites since he wanted to go swimming in the pool. So Devon polished off the rest of Kyle’s ice-cream. He was eating mine before that and every time I took a bite, he would get very upset with me. Then when we got back to the cottage we went in the pool and hot tub. Kyle really enjoyed this.
I also read a lot of books. Since our boys still nap for approximately 2 hours it was great to just sit there with a book:) And one night we had Alice & Tim over for a bbq & sat by the firepit roasting smores. Mmmmm….
Before we left on vacation I bought a bubble machine. It was really neat. We added some bubbles to it and sat in the yard & watched the kids have a ton of fun with it. Benjamin kept saying “bubble, bubble”. He was so excited to see all the bubbles.
It was really neat to be able to go on this vacation with the WHOLE family!! Just 4 months ago we were sitting by Benjamin’s bedside wondering if he’d make it and now we could spend time as a whole family doing things we love. It was awesome!

Sounds like a ton of fun! What a miracle after Benjamin's ordeal to be able to spend a week as a family and enjoy each other's company :) You guys are awesome parents and i'm so glad to hear you had a blast!
