Yesterday Benjamin had a bit more spunk in him. After the nurse & RT turned him to his stomach, he decided he was going to play with his leads. He had this smirk on his face:) Then I decided to try play peek-a-boo with him and he started smiling:) Overall he is doing good. It's a very slow process. He is still on the ventilator and his O2 is at around 35-50% depending on if they just moved him etc. His peep is now down to 8 and his bpm (breaths per minute) setting on the ventilator is at 13. He is now actually breathing above the ventilator.

This afternoon when I called, the nurse said that they had him sitting up in his bed playing with a ball for about 2 hours this morning. That would have been neat to see. I wonder how many people they had to have there to do that since he's still on the ventilator. Now he's tired out and is sleeping. Grandma & Grandpa are going to visit him this afternoon.

It's neat to see how all the nurses interact with him. Apparently if there isn't a primary on everyone wants to be on Benjamin. And when we're there visiting a lot of the nurses will stop by to say hi to us. We have such great nurses:)
