There isn't much to tell you today. Benjamin is doing about the same as he was last night when we left. Today they are going to try cap the CRT (renal dialysis machine) and then if that works for a while they will take the lines out of him. They are also playing with his ventilator settings a bit. Other than that, not much is new. He's under the bair hugger again to keep him warm. And he likes to be a stinker & bite on his ventilator tube which sets all the alarms off.

Even though he seems to be getting better he is still very sick and has a long way to go yet.

Hope you're enjoying the beautiful day...and that B is enjoying sun bathing in his room:)
Question for you...
some people have asked me, is he still on Life Support.
Is being on the ventilator still considered "being on life support"?

Dear Gary & Greta,
Wow, the roller coaster ride of emotions that you keep talking about must be so hard on you. We rejoice with you at the little steps in improvement and pray even harder on the not-so-good days. I'm guessing that having come of the ECMO machine is one big step, though and, if they can get him off dialysis, that would be another big step. The ventilator might take a little longer to wean him off, but we're so thankful that they have technology like that to help people through what he's going through. Hugs to you and lots of prayers.
Love Sandra
(PS - Alice, a ventilator is considered life support b/c it does the breathing for the person on it)
