Transferred to Children's- finally!!!!

Well, Benjamin got transferred to Children's late last night. We just had rounds this morning and are supposed to meet with the neurosurgeon some time today. They said that we could be here anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. I'm hoping it's not that long. We're staying at the Easter Seal House till tomorrow. Hopefully by then, we know what's going to happen. Then we'll probably come back home and take our dear little Kyle home. I'm not looking forward to travelling with Kyle to Children's all the time but I guess I'll have to deal with that. Hopefully he likes the car, otherwise I'm in trouble.

We'll update you once we know more. Please pray for strength for us as we didn't sleep much last night. Hopefully the unit clerk here gets some sleep as well because she's really grumpy:(

You know, Greta, that's what I love about you - you don't waste words, you say exactly what you think!! LOL :)

We will be praying that the surgery happens soon and that it all goes well AND that the Lord gives you the strength you need to get thru this bump in the road.

Love, Ev

Gary & Greta,
I know what you mean about the unit clerk. I was at Children's yesterday (with my sister) visiting my niece (her daughter)and was greeted by Serena. Whenever we come and she is sitting there, we say "oh great, we have to get past her again." She really shouldn't be working there because she is not a very pleasant person. Doesn't her voice make all the hair on the back of your neck stand straight up? Thankfully the majority of the staff are very kind.
My neice was born at Children's May 6th (26wks&4ds). There have been ups and downs. She has been on and off the ventilator but for the last week she is doing well on CPAP.
We hope and pray that Benjamin will receive the care he needs and will be able to go home soon.

Dear Greta & Gary,
I am praying that all goes well for Benjamin. And for strength for you as well. Make sure you get some rest. Is Kyle missing Benjamin (and vice versa)? I will be watching the blog for updates tomorrow.
Lots of love, Mom
