Monday, May 21

Benjamin was switched to low flow on Thursday and then switched to high flow on Friday. Today he is back on low flow. It’s so nice to be able to see his face again. He is breathing fast but otherwise doing good on it. He is over 4 lbs now. Benjamin gets a bath in the big tub tomorrow since it is a little easier to move him around now that he’s off CPAP.

Kyle is off oxygen again. He seems to be doing good and has been off for 2 days now. The nurse told me today that he loves to be held. I guess he was crying and then she held him and he was fine but as soon as she put him back he started crying again. He was probably gassy because he is not usually a fussy baby. I got to give him a bath today and boy did he need it. He smelt like spit up milk.

Today was my first time back to the hospital since Thursday. I had a bad cold and couldn’t go. I went with Gary on Saturday and then went shopping. I found out that there is a Clipper Street (scrapbooking place) five minutes away from the hospital. I’m not sure if Gary likes it that I found that out since I love to scrapbook shop. I went to the hospital to pick Gary up and since the boys got moved up front I could see them through the window. Nana brought Kyle right to the window and made him blow kisses and wave. It was really special since I was missing the boys.

Gary and Greta,
Thank you so much for keeping us up to date about your boys. We love to read about them, sorry that we haven't commented yet. They are looking so cute. God is good. We are praying for you and for Benjamin and Kyle.
