Saturday, March 31

Well, it's 8:15 a.m. and our little Benjamin is in surgery right now. I don't think Gary & I slept much last night. Benjamin should be done surgery at about 9:15 and then Kyle goes. We're both very scared and having a difficult time right now but we know that it is all in God's hands. Both boys had a very good night and Benjamin was wide-awake on his way to the OR. He was probably wondering where he's going now.

Dear Greta and Gary:

To mind comes the song:

He giveth more grace when the burden grows greater;
He sendeth more strength when the labours increase.
To added affliction He addeth His mercy;
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.

His love has no limit;
His grace has no measure;
His pow'r has no boundary known unto men.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father's full giving is only begun.

His live has no limit;
His grace has no measure;
His pow'r has no boundary known unto men.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

Lean on Jesus dear Greta and Gary. He is there for you and your boys. He feels your pain and worry.

Love Lydia

I'm sure glad Benjamin could have his surgery now after all. I guess he should be done any minute. I pray all has gone well, and have been praying for the last hour. And then it will be Kyle's hour for extra prayers.

When things or scary or look impossible and the doctors are unsure, it's always comforting to remember that God is the Great Physician and he's leading the medical team with every decision they make and everything they do for your boys.

I'm going to be praying all day for all of you. Today is an important day that you won't forget in your boys' life, and I hope you'll get to remember times that you can feel God's nearness and care, and the care of your family and friends.
